The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power brings the legendary world of Middle-earth to television on an epic scale, exploring the rise of the great powers of the Second Age thousands of years before the events of The Lord of the Rings. Filmed extensively in New Zealand, the series combines monumental practical builds, intricate environmental storytelling, and extensive visual effects to create one of the most ambitious fantasy productions ever undertaken for television.
As Set Designer, I worked on the design and technical development of two major large-scale boat builds for the series, contributing to the translation of Middle-earth’s fantasy architecture and maritime worldbuilding into highly detailed, production-ready cinematic environments.
